This Week Behind The Short Wall

As we watch in horror the goings on back home I can't help but feel that the MDC has to take a step back and stand behind the short wall. This means they should take a break from everything, relax and let the dust settle. They really have done 'everything humanely possible' and must rest a bit lest they burn themselves out.

I am happy the world is finally taking notice of it all. The cries are resounding loudly far and wide. This gives the MDC the chance to recover and watch from a distance the next chapter in this series. Only then can they make an informed decision. If they go on fighting right now they will get drowned and may not survive as a party.

I don't agree with this government of national unity. Why can't our leaders learn to accept defeat graciously and walk away. We need an opposition party, it's one of the reasons South Africa may avoid the way of the dictator. We cannot allow the MDC to be swallowed by Zanu. This will surely happen if they hold these talks and merge.

If Zanu claim victory let them continue 'ruling' and take the country to its inevitable collapse alone. If we go the route of the national unity we run the risk of losing everything and having to form another party of opposition to get ourselves out of it.

Hold on, President Tsvangirai and take a breath while you wait for the wisdom to go in a new direction. The day to fight will present itself again soon.
